In view of the boomimg market for LANDesk, this is the first time the User Group Forum is being organised in the MIddle East.
LANDesk, in association with Intertec Systems, hosted its User Group Forum on February 28, 2008 at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. The Middle East is a focus area for LANDesk in 2008, hence it was decided to organise the User Group Conference in Dubai and to invite LANDesk customers and prospects to this event.
The Intertec stall at the forum showcased the latest LANDesk products and services, and case studies of their implementation in the region.
Intertec, Lenovo, Avocent and Intel Corporation were the co-sponsors of the User Group Forum.
The Forum was an ideal platform to understand LANDesk and its products, and also how different organisations have benefited from their implementation.
Key customers of LANDesk from the region participated in the event. The Industrial Bank of Kuwait, one of LANDesk’s key customers in the region, presented a case study. Others like the General Information Authority, and Union National Bank participated in the Forum and were part of a Round Table conference organised later in the day.
The Forum showcased latest version of LANDesk products. The Version 8.8 of LANDesk Security Suite and LANDesk Management Suite were introduced in the US markets recently. The LANDesk Security Suite has been designed to increase enterprise systems security by introducing new data leakage protection, wireless access point discovery, enhancements to patch management, host intrusion prevention (HIPS) and other enterprise level upgrades.
The LANDesk Management Suite 8.8 is designed to help customers more easily secure and manage enterprise systems by adding new real-time software distribution, licensing monitoring, alerting, provisioning and reporting tools to LANDesk Management Suite’s already comprehensive system and configuration management capabilities.
The LANDesk User Group Conferences have been a great success and this year, in Dubai, it certainly lived up to expectations.
